Some of the large exercises organised by CEMAC:

 

COFLEX

Bi-national (BE-NL) Command Post Exercise (CPX) based on a two day coastal flood scenario.

Involved the participation of the national and regional crisis centres of both countries.

 

FLUEX

First ever national pandemic exercise for the Belgian ministry of public health, involving a medical and logistical field exercise (FTX) and a Continuity of Operations (COO) oriented Table Top Exercise (TTX). The exercise was widely covered in national media.

 

VIREX-I, -II, -III, -IV

Series of multi-national internet based CPX covering a variety of trans-boundary incidents (floods, chemical incident, infectious diseas incident, international logistical support request). The exercises involved Belgium, Hungary, Lithuania, Netherlands, Romania, Russia, UK.

 

B/O EXER

Series of national and international utility blackout Command Post Exercises (CPX) and Mixed Component Exercises (MCX), involving national and international grid operators, authorities and media.

 

Olympic Offspring

Multinational exercise involving the largest peacetime Belgian real-life evacuation of civilians. CEMAC developed the scenario, logistical preparations and performed the observations/evaluation during the EXER.

Over 2,000 persons actively participated in the exercise. Crisis centres in two countries were activated for multiple days. Observers came from as far as Russia and Greece.
